Linguistics and Philology Section 

The Linguistics and Philology section of the Eurasian Science Review is dedicated to the scholarly exploration of language in all its facets. This section provides a comprehensive platform for research and discourse in the fields of linguistics and philology, encompassing a broad range of linguistic theories, methodologies, and historical studies of language.

Linguistics:

  • Theoretical Linguistics: Focuses on the core aspects of linguistics, including syntax, semantics, phonetics, phonology, and morphology. This sub-section aims to deepen our understanding of the structure and function of languages.
  • Applied Linguistics: Deals with practical applications of linguistic theory, such as language education, lexicography, and translation studies.
  • Sociolinguistics: Explores the relationship between language and society, including language variation, language change, dialectology, and language policy.
  • Psycholinguistics: Studies the psychological and neurological factors that enable humans to acquire, use, and understand language.
  • Computational Linguistics: Focuses on the computational aspects of language analysis, language processing, and natural language processing (NLP) technologies.

Philology:

  • Historical and Comparative Philology: Involves the study of the history of languages and the comparison of related languages to understand their development and relationships.
  • Textual Criticism and Manuscript Studies: Concentrates on the examination and interpretation of historical texts, manuscripts, and literary documents.
  • Classical Philology: Focuses on the languages, literature, and cultures of ancient civilizations, particularly Greek and Latin.
  • Descriptive Philology: Aims to describe the linguistic features of lesser-studied or endangered languages, contributing to the preservation of linguistic diversity.

This section invites contributions that offer new insights into linguistic phenomena, employ innovative methodologies in language study, or provide critical analyses of linguistic texts. We encourage submissions that are interdisciplinary in nature, bridging linguistics and philology with other fields such as anthropology, cultural studies, and cognitive science. The Linguistics and Philology section is committed to advancing our understanding of language as a fundamental aspect of human culture, communication, and cognition.
