Abstract

The use of mythological images and mystical phenomena in depicting artistic truth in Kazakh prose is a hallmark of a writer's craftsmanship. Askar Altay's works reflect the essence of national worldview. The author creatively reinterprets ancient legends, blending them with contemporary realities to produce thought-provoking works. This article analyzes the mystical and mythological elements in Askar Altay's "Altai Ballad" mythological novel and "Centaur" story. In Kazakh prose, the writer is highly esteemed for the richness of his literary language, the depth of his content, and the emotional impact of his works. By vividly describing the stunning nature of the Kazakh steppe, conveying the emotions of his characters, and skillfully unfolding events, the author captivates the reader, offering a kaleidoscope of impressions and perspectives.
