The ways of developing students' functional literacy in history lessons with the help of artificial intelligence are explored.

This article discusses effective ways of using artificial intelligence (AI) to develop students' functional literacy in history lessons. The study examines how AI technologies can be integrated into the educational process to enhance students' analytical and critical thinking skills. Special attention is given to personalized learning, historical data analysis, creating virtual tours, and fostering a critical understanding of historical events. Artificial intelligence is defined as the field of science and engineering aimed at enabling computers and technologies to mimic human cognitive abilities. The article highlights how modern technologies can make history lessons more engaging and effective while enhancing students' ability to work with information, identify cause-and-effect relationships, and make informed decisions.
