The Potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Developing Functional Literacy

This article examines the role of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in developing functional literacy. Enhancing learners' functional literacy is one of the key objectives in the modern education system. The capabilities of AI technologies provide opportunities to improve reading and writing skills, facilitate effective information processing, and personalize the learning process within the education sector.The article discusses the effectiveness of AI tools and methodologies for both students and teachers, explores ways to increase student engagement through AI, and addresses issues related to the professional development of teachers. Additionally, it highlights the use of AI-based assessment systems that offer new methods for objectively evaluating students' functional literacy.The potential of AI technologies in education and their prospects for future development in this area are identified. The article concludes by presenting relevant challenges and solutions in the path of integrating AI and developing functional literacy.
