Abstract

In contemporary society, social-economic changes affect the formation process of the future generation and have a significant impact on their socio-psychological development level. This especially occurs in the transitional period characterized by internal contradictions. The transitional period includes the formation of personal identity and self-esteem, as well as the establishment of a stable, independent system of relationships. Such conditions laid the foundation for broadening the concept of self-assessment during this stage of development. Additionally, various psychological and social factors, along with the formation of personal identity and adherence to social norms, have a significant impact on the successful implementation of self-assessment. The article discusses the psychological characteristics of contemporary adolescents' development, the meaning of the concept of "self-assessment," its structure, and services. The theoretical study was conducted based on the foundation of self-assessment, and the structural model of self-assessment was developed, revealing the characteristics of adolescents' self-assessment in the current educational and developmental context. As a result, the self-assessment characteristics of 7-10th grade students were examined. Furthermore, the necessity of using pedagogical staff who work with adolescents in the family and mutual understanding of adolescents in the scientific work team to improve mutual understanding and mutual understanding among adolescents in the family and work team is emphasized.
