Abstract

This study examines the phenomenon of humor as it appears in social networks, emphasizing its evolving forms, functions, and impact on public opinion. Humor, particularly in social media, influences communication, fosters societal interactions, and reflects individual intelligence and confidence. The research focuses on identifying types of humor, their effects on individuals in online platforms, and their role in shaping social attitudes. By analyzing lexical definitions and classifications, the study highlights humor’s significance as both a cultural and communicative tool.The goals of the research are to explore the types of humor in social networks and to evaluate their influence on users. The objectives include identifying the features and functions of humor, analyzing its societal role, and suggesting how it can improve communication practices. Utilizing exploratory and analytical methods, the study underscores humor's ability to adapt to modern digital environments while maintaining its core essence of wit and irony.
