Diagnostics of the quality of the pedagogical process is important and requires an interdisciplinary approach, including methods from cybernetics, psychology and pedagogy. Our study has developed criteria for the effectiveness of diagnostic methods for educating Kazakhstani patriotism in students, determining optimal indicators and conditions. The methodology for teachers includes summing up and assessing the level of patriotism. The effectiveness of diagnostics is ensured through specific indicators that help identify the reasons for the successful education of patriotism in primary school students
