Abstract

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies is transforming education, providing innovative tools for enhancing functional literacy. This study explores the potential of AI applications to improve students' abilities in reading, writing, problem-solving, and critical thinking. AI-powered platforms enable personalized learning experiences, offering adaptive content and real-time feedback tailored to individual needs.The integration of AI tools into educational processes fosters engagement, motivation, and a deeper understanding of subject matter, particularly through interactive tasks, automated assessments, and gamified learning. This paper highlights practical examples of AI implementation in educational settings, focusing on its role in developing functional literacy skills across diverse learner populations.Additionally, the research addresses the challenges of adopting AI technologies, including accessibility, ethical considerations, and teacher training. The findings underline the transformative potential of AI in education and suggest pathways for its effective integration to support literacy development.
