Regional Studies and Geography Section

The Regional Studies and Geography section of the Eurasian Science Review is dedicated to exploring the complex interplay between geographical environments and regional dynamics. This section focuses on a multidisciplinary approach, combining insights from geography, regional analysis, and related disciplines to deepen our understanding of places and spaces, their characteristics, and their impact on human and natural activities.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Physical Geography: Examination of the Earth's physical features, including landforms, climate, ecosystems, and biogeography. Studies may explore how these physical elements shape regional environments and biodiversity.
  • Human Geography: Analysis of human activities and their relationships with the environment, including urbanization, cultural landscapes, and socio-economic processes.
  • Geopolitical and Regional Analysis: In-depth exploration of the geopolitical aspects of different regions, addressing issues such as territorial disputes, geopolitical strategies, and regional power dynamics.
  • Economic Geography: Study of the spatial aspects of economies, including the distribution of resources, industries, and economic activities, and their impacts on regional development and global trade.
  • Cultural and Historical Geography: Exploration of cultural and historical influences on regional development, identity, and heritage, including the study of historical landscapes and cultural practices.
  • Environmental Geography: Focus on environmental issues and challenges at the regional level, including climate change impacts, resource management, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Spatial Analysis: Application of GIS and spatial analysis techniques in studying and visualizing geographical and regional phenomena.
  • Urban and Regional Planning: Research on the planning and development of urban and rural areas, addressing issues such as land use, spatial planning, and sustainable development.
  • Population Geography: Studies on demographic trends, migration patterns, and population distribution, and their implications for regions and their development.
  • Comparative Regional Studies: Comparative analyses of different regions of the world, highlighting their unique characteristics, challenges, and opportunities.

The Regional Studies and Geography section encourages submissions that offer innovative perspectives, employ diverse methodologies, and contribute to a broader understanding of geographical and regional issues. We welcome interdisciplinary research that bridges geography with other fields, such as sociology, economics, environmental science, and political science, reflecting the complex and interconnected nature of regional studies and geography. This section aims to be a forum for scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to engage in meaningful discourse on regional and geographical matters, contributing to informed decision-making and sustainable regional development.
