Spiritual and Moral Education in Chemistry Lessons

Spiritual and moral education in chemistry lessons plays an important role in the formation of students' personalities. Chemistry, as a subject, provides unique opportunities for integrating moral values into the educational process. In my lessons, I apply approaches aimed at developing independent work, student interaction within a group, and understanding of moral and ethical principles. One of the effective methods is the use of chemical fairy tales, in which students solve not only chemical problems but also face issues of "good and evil." Analogies with Kazakh folk tales allow for a deeper understanding of cultural and moral aspects. Such tasks are especially relevant in topics like "Sulfuric Acid," "Metals," and "Alkalis," where historical and chemical knowledge is combined to form moral experience. In my practice, I actively implement personalized, system-activity approaches, and folk pedagogy, which helps address ethical, aesthetic, and behavioral issues in the lessons. These methods enrich the educational process, making it deeper and more meaningful for students.
