The article discusses innovative methods used in teaching history. In modern times, the need to introduce changes and innovations in the education system is increasing, therefore updating the teaching methods of the history subject is an important issue. In the course of the research, methods of increasing students' interest and raising their level of education were considered through the use of interactive teaching, project methods, modern technologies and multimedia tools. The authors analyze effective innovative methods in historical education, analyze their advantages and disadvantages, and give practical recommendations. This article is intended for history teachers, methodological associations and researchers in the field of education
