Abstract

The advent of new technologies has revolutionized the tourism industry, offering more flexible and organized options for holidaymakers. Moving beyond traditional, often cumbersome tourism models that once dominated mass demand, the industry now embraces innovative technologies and enhanced comfort. These advancements have significantly elevated the expectations and desires of travelers. As a result, there is a growing competitive landscape within the tourism sector, driven by the evolving demands of tourists. Comparing the technologies and customer requests from five years ago with today's innovations and guest inquiries reveals a stark difference. New technologies have played a pivotal role in the implementation of tourist information systems, facilitating rapid identification and information dissemination in the field of tourism. Digitalization in tourism stands as a comprehensive solution to a wide array of potential challenges encountered in providing information services, organizing tourist excursions, and planning travel. The primary objective of these innovations and digitalization efforts in the tourism sector is to enhance communication and information exchange between tourists and industry professionals, thereby improving the overall travel experience.
