Particular attention is given to the use of generative AI tools, such as ChatGPT, in teaching and learning. The study analyzes the key components of teachers' digital competence, the educational potential of AI technologies, and their impact on lesson planning, personalized learning, assessment, and professional development. It also addresses challenges related to academic integrity, ethical AI use, and data privacy. The findings suggest that the effective integration of AI into education strengthens teachers' professional competence and supports the creation of an innovative, learner-centered educational environment.
