Abstract

The China–Central Asia–Europe transport corridor, as a core component of the Belt and Road Initiative, plays a strategic role in trans-Eurasian trade. This article systematizes recent scientific evidence on how digitalization, automation, artificial intelligence, and ICT infrastructure reshape corridor efficiency, sustainability, and regional integration. Based on peer-reviewed studies from 2018–2025, the paper identifies key technological drivers, economic and environmental impacts, and persistent institutional and infrastructural bottlenecks. The findings confirm that technological modernization significantly reduces transit time and costs while supporting green development, yet requires deeper policy harmonization and balanced regional capacity building.
