DEVELOPING TEACHERS’ DIGITAL COMPETENCIES IN THE CONTEXT OF EDUCATIONAL DIGITALIZATION AND THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNOLOGIES

The article examines current issues in the formation and development of teachers’ digital competencies amid the rapid digitalization of education and the active implementation of artificial intelligence technologies. The essence of the concept of “digital competence” in the context of a teacher’s professional activity is defined, and its structural components and levels of development are analyzed. Special attention is given to the changing role of teachers in the digital educational environment, which requires not only mastery of ICT tools but also skills in critical thinking, digital ethics, and working with intelligent systems. It is shown that the development of digital competencies is impossible without integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into teaching, assessment, and teachers’ self-education processes. Based on the analysis of scientific sources and practical experience, the main directions and pedagogical conditions for effective development of digital competencies in the AI era are highlighted.
