Abstract

This scholarly article provides a comprehensive analysis of the formation of boxing in Kazakhstan, its historical stages, institutional development during the Soviet era, and the new momentum gained in the years of independence. The study examines the contributions of the founders of Kazakh boxing, the establishment of regional boxing schools between 1930 and 1980, the achievements of Kazakhstani boxers in USSR championships, and the position of independent Kazakhstan on the global sporting stage. The material is based on historical sources, archival data, and memoirs of prominent sports figures.
