Abstract

This article examines the issue of developing students’ argumentative writing skills in Kazakh Language and Literature classes through the use of argumentation strategies, specifically PEEL Paragraph and Bloom’s Taxonomy. In contemporary education, the ability of students to express their ideas systematically, support their opinions with evidence, and construct texts with a logical structure is one of the key competencies. The study analyzes the effectiveness of these strategies in fostering students’ critical thinking, textual analysis skills, and writing culture. The PEEL structure demonstrates how to organize paragraph content coherently, while Bloom’s Taxonomy illustrates ways to gradually develop levels of thinking. As a result, these methods are shown to enhance the quality of students’ argumentative writing and contribute to the comprehensive development of their linguistic and logical skills.
