Abstract

The modern digital environment has a profound impact on children’s development, including those who exhibit signs of digital autism—a condition characterized by reduced social activity, emotional detachment, and dependence on electronic devices. In this context, the role of parents as intermediaries between the child and the digital world becomes particularly important. The article examines the theoretical foundations of media literacy, its components, and its significance in the educational process, as well as the specifics of interacting with children who show signs of digital dependency and communication difficulties. Thus, the presented study emphasizes the importance of a comprehensive and individualized approach to developing media literacy as a key resource for parental competence in the context of digital transformation of society and the increasing number of children with digital socialization challenges.
