Abstract

The article examines the micro-research method as a modern tool for developing students’ functional literacy in Russian language lessons. Drawing on the concepts of the activity-based approach and inquiry-based learning, the author analyzes the methodological foundations of micro-research, its role in developing students’ analytical, critical, and language thinking skills. Practical examples of using micro-research in lessons are presented, its advantages over traditional exercises are highlighted, and recommendations for systematically integrating this method into the educational process are provided. The article is intended for Russian language teachers, methodologists, and practicing educators seeking to apply modern teaching technologies.
