Abstract

The article presents a methodology for using digital technologies in teaching stone sculptures in history lessons at school within the framework of the updated education system. The use of digitalization trends in education has several advantages for helping students master the topic in history, increasing their interest, and developing their research skills. These advantages are based on the principle of developing students’ creative thinking, creativity, and necessary skills. In history lessons, digital platforms can be used to deliver lessons, complete assignments, and take virtual museum tours, enhancing the teaching of topics. Therefore, the digitalization trend plays a significant role as a tool for developing the education sector. Students are provided with the opportunity to use digital technologies to develop their own research projects, as well as to cultivate respect for historical and cultural monuments. The aim of the article is to systematize scientific information about stone sculptures and develop a methodology for applying digital tools in teaching this topic within the school curriculum. The article analyzes the scientific and pedagogical works of Russian and domestic scholars who have conducted research on history teaching methods and incorporates the studies of Kazakhstani archaeologists on stone sculptures of the Turkic period to expand the information base. The methodological foundation of the article is based on theoretical research methods, including induction, deduction, and synthesis.
