One of the main objectives of the updated model curriculum for the Kazakh Language subject for general secondary education is to teach students the Kazakh language as their mother tongue while enabling them to competently perform communicative actions (listening, reading, speaking, writing) in accordance with their everyday needs. The curriculum includes tasks related to writing, such as planning writing activities, composing texts in various genres, presenting written work in different formats, writing essays, creating coherent texts based on reading and listening materials, as well as editing and proofreading. Therefore, special attention is paid to systematically developing writing skills in Kazakh language lessons with a logical structure. If the process of developing writing skills is based on new teaching methods and encourages students’ independent decision-making and creative inquiry, it enhances individual literacy, the ability to express thoughts coherently, and increases overall effectiveness. The article analyzes the features and practical applications of modern methods considered effective for developing writing skills, including monologue writing, story-based writing, text summarization, rapid dictation, and gallery brainstorming.
