Abstract

This article explores the effectiveness of teaching project writing to primary school students through the elective course “Wonderful Natural Science.” Project-based learning is considered a powerful pedagogical tool that fosters research skills, independence, and creativity at an early age. The elective course is designed to connect natural science concepts with hands-on exploration, enabling students to observe, analyze, and reflect on real-world phenomena. By engaging in project writing, students develop functional literacy, strengthen their critical thinking abilities, and learn to apply acquired knowledge in everyday contexts. The article also highlights the role of teachers in guiding project work by providing methodological support, feedback, and opportunities for collaborative learning. Findings demonstrate that consistent integration of this elective course significantly enhances students’ motivation, cognitive activity, and problem-solving abilities. Thus, project writing through “Wonderful Natural Science” not only deepens subject knowledge but also prepares students for lifelong learning and future academic success.
