This article explores the features of organizing, implementing, and assessing an interdisciplinary unit in middle school, with a focus on the experience of interdisciplinary project-based learning within the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. Modern education increasingly emphasizes not only the acquisition of theoretical knowledge but also the development of practical skills that are relevant to everyday life. In this context, it is especially important to cultivate project and research skills such as critical thinking, information literacy, communication, teamwork, and creativity. Through this process, project-based learning becomes an essential component of the educational experience: students do not merely study content but create products, conduct research, or solve real-life problems, thus enhancing their independent and collaborative skills.
