Abstract

Career choice is the one of the most important and difficult decisions made by high school students. In most developed countries the choice of University specialty and consequently future career path is a major issue addressed by policy makers in the educational systems. However, the Kazakhstani school system does not offer proper career guidance or support to their graduates. High school students are left on their own with a significant decision to make. Thus, parents are actively involved in their child’s future and the process of career choice.
