Abstract

This study examines the pharmaceutical value of Echinacea purpurea (L.) Moench and the possibility of preparing wound-healing bandages and ointments based on it. Echinacea purpurea contains biologically active compounds such as flavonoids, polysaccharides, essential oils, and phenolic compounds with antioxidant properties. These substances are known for their immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, and wound-healing effects.

The study describes the pharmacological properties of Echinacea purpurea extracts and proposes methods for their medical application. Additionally, the effectiveness of bandages and ointments based on this plant is examined, highlighting their role in restoring inflamed and injured tissues. The results indicate the potential of Echinacea purpurea as a widely applicable natural medicinal agent.
