Abstract

The article is aimed at increasing first-grade students' love for reading in Kazakh classrooms. The author explores various methods and techniques that help foster an interest in reading from the very first days of school. The article emphasizes the importance of creating an engaging reading environment, using folk tales and oral literature, reading texts aloud, and dramatization. Special attention is given to the use of multimedia technologies and working with new vocabulary. Recommendations for involving parents in the reading process are provided for teachers. The expected result is to develop not only children's language and speech skills but also their emotional connection with books, which will contribute to the formation of a lasting love for reading.
