This article discusses the effectiveness of using the project-based learning (PBL) method in higher education institutions and the problems that it arises in the educational process. Project-based learning is a method that provides students with knowledge by solving specific problems. The article discusses the theoretical foundations of the PBL method, its impact on the development of students ' thinking, improving creative skills, organizing group work and mastering practical skills. In addition, difficulties and shortcomings in the application of project-based learning in higher education institutions are analyzed, including issues of effective time management, lack of resources, interaction between teachers and students. The article presents ways to effectively implement the PBL method and draws attention to the fact that this method allows you to improve the quality of the education system.
