Abstract

This article is devoted to assessing the effectiveness of the use of virtualization technologies in higher education institutions. Virtualization, that is, the transformation of physical resources into virtual ones, allows you to effectively organize the educational process, save resources and optimize the information infrastructure of educational institutions. The article discusses several types of virtualization, including server, desktop and Application Virtualization. The advantages and difficulties of using each virtualization method in higher education are analyzed. In the methodological part of the study, the methods of literature review, comparative analysis, applied research and survey were used. The effectiveness of the application of virtualization systems has been evaluated through specific practices in higher education. The results show that virtualization makes it easier to manage the educational process in educational institutions and makes it possible to use resources more efficiently. In addition, special attention is paid to the security of systems, data availability and backup management.
In conclusion, virtualization is recognized as an effective and necessary technology for higher education institutions. However, its implementation requires solving infrastructure problems and strengthening security measures. The future of virtualization is an important step towards accelerating the digital transformation of the education system.
