This article examines the effectiveness of working with visual texts in developing students’ reading literacy. In the context of modern education, reading literacy is not limited to understanding written texts but also involves the ability to interpret, analyze, and critically evaluate visual information such as diagrams, charts, infographics, and images. Visual texts serve as powerful tools to stimulate students’ imagination, enhance comprehension, and support the development of analytical thinking skills. The study highlights that the integration of visual materials into reading activities increases student engagement, fosters creativity, and promotes deeper understanding of content. Furthermore, the use of visual texts contributes to differentiated instruction, allowing teachers to adapt tasks to various learning styles and abilities. The article concludes that systematic work with visual texts not only strengthens reading literacy but also equips learners with essential competencies for navigating the information-rich digital world.
